The Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP) at the 2nd Anniversary of Nigeria Disability Act, held on 19th – 21st January, 2021 at Treasure Suites and Conferences, Central Area, Abuja

The National President, Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP), TPL. Olutoyin Ayinde FNITP, were Special Guest at the 2nd Anniversary of Nigeria Disability Act, held on 19th - 21st January, 2021 at Treasure Suites and Conferences, Central Area, Abuja.

The program which was organised by the Center for Citizens with Disability (CCD), reviewed the state of implementation of the Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities Prohibition Act 2018.

Addressing participants at the event, the National President, represented by the 1st National Vice President, TPL. Nathaniel Atebije FNITP, highlighted the need to make provisions for Persons with Disabilities in the organization of space particularly at the building and neighborhood levels. Adequate access ramps, reserved parking in the appropriate locations, special conveniences, etc. must be provided in public buildings for Persons with Disabilities.

The National President assured the forum of the continued support of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners.
