NITP National President at The Stakeholders Workshop Organized by The Federal Ministry of Works and Housing on the Proposed National Physical Development Plan

 

The National President, Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP); TPL. Olutoyin Ayinde, FNITP on behalf of the National Council and Entire Members of the Institute presented a goodwill message at the National Stakeholders Workshop Organised by The Federal Ministry of Works and Housing on the proposed National Physical Development Plan, held on Wednesday, 11th November, 2020 at Jades Hotel, Abuja.

He observed that the workshop is long overdue as it is supposed to be a driving force for the implementation of the National Physical Development Plan as envisaged by the formulation of the Nigerian Urban and Regional Planning Law in 1992. However, twenty-eight (28) years after, it is still a document in the proposal phase.

 
 
 

In his statement, Ayinde opined that holding the workshop at this time is an indication that hope has been kept alive, and that there's something to look forward to. He therefore encouraged various stakeholders to get interested in this project and participate fully to enable the outcomes drive sustainable development in our nation.

Ayinde, concluded his message by pledging the full support of the Institute to offer any professional assistance that will make this assignment a fruitful exercise.
